We have been growing Cut Flowers professionally for the local market since 2018.

I tried very hard to become a vegetable farmer, but was constantly drawn to the challenging concept of growing flowers solely for production purposes; rows and rows grown, not to let bloom and linger on the plant, but to harvest and bring a bit of the outside in. When we married in 2011, I tried desperately to find a local grower for wedding flowers. For a region so rich in agriculture, we lacked any professional flower growers, and a tiny spark was lit. Although it would take time away from growing food, I just couldn't shake it! I love the strict technical requirements of producing that perfect stem and bloom. After a decade of hesitation, I started selling farm fresh bouquets and have never looked back.

As it it turns out, there were a lot of folks like myself, looking to celebrate milestones in their lives with fresh seasonal flowers grown right here in the Bulkley Valley. In response to an overwhelming demand to offer Wedding Floral Design, fellow farmer Lindsay Heer and myself joined forces to create Creekside Floral Collective in 2019, a farm based floral design service which sources all of the blooms from our respective farms. Working as a team allows us to focus on our individual strengths, diversify our product, and support other independent small growers. We strive to provide a highly personalized experience for local couples with a decidedly different, lush and wild design aesthetic.

Here at Wild Creek, we are proud to provide high end, sustainably grown, seasonal flowers for both the local retail market and for the Collective.

What we grow

We specialize in the kind of flowers people may only dream of holding on their wedding day - and make them accessible for everyone to enjoy - turning any ordinary day into something special.

Every bouquet we send out is reflective of the changing seasons. Peonies and Ranunculus may be the 'fanciest' flowers we grow, but everything from a classic tulip to the humble sunflower becomes truly breathtaking when freshly harvested and curated for you.

How we grow it

We are conscious of our impact on the environment and the ecosystem within our gardens and beyond. We are committed to only using sustainable growing practices.  By that, we mean, we are committed to adding to the earth’s health, not depleting it. Choosing locally grown flowers is a conscious decision to slow down and enjoy every moment of your event; from the freshest petals to the sweetest fragrance. You should be able to bury your face in your bouquet without worrying about what may have been sprayed on those fragrant petals.

If we wouldn't put it on our salad greens,

we wont use it on our blooms!
