Currently taking reservations for Spring delivery. $150 Deposit is required to secure your order.

Our beef shares are fully customizable. We will contact you after you place your order and provide you with a cut sheet for you to make your selections. Shares are priced at $6 /lb plus butcher fees.

Pricing is based on what’s known as the Hot Hanging Weight (HHW) which is the weight of the carcass after the head, insides, hide, and feet have been removed.

A Quarter Share will have an approximate Hot Hanging Weight of 140-150 lbs. The total yield for your freezer is usually around 60-70% of the hanging weight. Some weight will be lost to moisture during the aging process, and to bone and trim removed during the cutting process.

Based on a 150 pound hanging weight, a Half share of beef usually yields 90-100 pounds of beef in your freezer. Approximately 50% of that will be premium steaks, roasts and stew meat and approximately 50% ground beef or burger patties, depending on your selections and the animal being processed.

Although it looks like a lot of money, when you work it out in comparison to buying it by the pack from the store, you will have huge savings! Current grocery stores prices feature striploin steaks on sale for 16$/lb, whereas you are getting all of the prime cuts at less than 10$/lb! And every dollar of that goes to support 3 local family owned small businesses; the farmer, the abbatoir, and the butcher!

You are welcome to split a mixed quarter with a friend, however we can only accept one set of cutting instructions per order.

If you have any questions about our program please feel free to contact us at any time!

Thank you for supporting local farmers.

All share deposits are non refundable. If for any reason we are unable to fulfill your order, your deposit will be returned. Pickup is available directly from DLM Meats in Houston, at our farm in Quick, or at a central pickup point in Smithers.
